Mrs. Council was born in Augsburg, Germany, and spent her childhood around the world as a proud Army "brat." As a young adult, she followed in those footsteps by joining the Army Reserves, where she served eight years as a Legal Specialist and Court Reporter. Life connected to the military meant frequent moves and constant reinvention--skills she mastered with grit and grace.
Throughout her diverse career, Mrs. Council has held roles such as administrative assistant, office manager, editorial manager, data analyst, and technical writer. In every position, she stood out as a natural leader, consistently rising into management and earning a reputation as a trusted mentor and role model. She credits much of her leadership and communication development to her military service, as well as her formative years as the eldest of four sisters. Over time, she has become a sought-after speaker, mentor, and trainer--valued for her insight, candor, and relatability.
Mrs. Council is also a breast cancer survivor--a chapter in her life that profoundly reshaped her perspective. Battling and overcoming cancer taught her the power of resilience, clarity of purpose, and the importance of leading with compassion. That journey strengthened her calling to empower others, especially women, to rise above adversity and lead with authenticity and courage.
Today, Mrs. Council serves as the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of the largest and fastest-growing school district in the Midlands of Columbia, South Carolina. In addition to her executive support role, she develops and delivers professional learning experiences for office professionals at the district, state, and national levels.
With over 40 years of experience in customer service, office administration, and leadership, Mrs. Council brings a rare combination of wisdom, warmth, and authenticity to every interaction. She is widely respected for her transparent, motivating style and her ability to connect with audiences at every level. Driven by a passion to help others grow through what they go through, she empowers professionals to embrace change, pursue excellence, and lead with purpose. Her message is clear: growth is a journey, and becoming your best self starts with showing up--fully, boldly, and unapologetically.
